We got up and had breakfast in the B&B - eggs, bread, jam and coffee. We continued working on our Workaway account, before showering and packing up our things. We have a night bus tonight so are hanging around a little bit aimlessly. Our hosts have kindly said we can remain here until we need to leave. We got our bags out the room, sat in the garden with a coffee, continued with our Workaway profile and downloaded some bits on our tech to entertain us tonight! At 16:00 we tried to find the hosts to say goodbye but no one was home which was funny! It is Sunday, which means there is not a lot happening apart from family lunches, which is also why it was impossible to get an Uber! We eventually managed to hail a taxi and went to the bus terminal. We checked in our luggage and paid the 1.40 sol each for the use of the bus terminal. Honestly, this never fails to amuse us, you have to buy your bus ticket, check in, get the bags checked in, and then queue outside a hut in the building and pay money for the use of the bus terminal?! We bought some box drinks and a packet of crisps to share, went through the boarding gate and waited until we were allowed to board our bus. The description online for our bus ticket had stated ‘snacks served by a pretty stewardess’ which seemed a little bit antique, and would cause an uproar in England I am sure! We boarded, this time on the top deck at the very back of the bus. We have got used to nestling in and creating a comfortable space, so set up right away. Before long we were watching t.v. on the ipad, with a dinner of rice and chicken served to us (by the pretty stewardess!) After our bus journey from Lima to Cusco being pretty horrific, we were expecting the worst. However, the journey pleasantly surprised us, and although mountain roads were inevitable, it was much more calm and easier to drift off to sleep.
