Our alarms went of at 6.45am, bodies still feeling battered and bruised from the previous days surfing. This will sadly be the final surfing lesson in Mancora, I am unable to join in todays water shredding as still suffering with a extremely damaged right lower rib. I do enjoy watching Jen from the beach taking photos and enjoying the sunrise.

After the lesson we say goodbye to our instructor Pilar, agree to write a good review on trip adviser and head off back to base for showers, breakfast and a packing session. At breakfast we meet a nice Irish lad from Belfast who has been traveling for the past 6 weeks, he has come to Mancora for his final week before heading home. He is a doctor so the wasn’t lack of conversation at the breakfast table. After we finish up packing we are ready to leave our accommodation, promise another decent review on trip adviser and start our 7ish hour travel to Chiclayo. The bus was comfy, clean had a toilet (bonus!) but definitely a local bus, Jen and I were the only gringos riding the bus. We manage to nap for the first few hours and soak up the surrounding desert like scenery for the rest of the journey. Once we arrive in Chiclayo we are met with the usual greetings. We hear taxi, taxi! shouted our way, and gladly accept the offer. We arrived shortly at the hostal (but more like a hotel) and receive and nice warm welcome from the owner, she only speaks in Spanish, SHOCK. We manage to have a conversation about getting around to the nearby tourist attractions which we later double check online, given our towels and bars of soap, get shown to our room and settle in. we take a short 15 minuet stroll to a near by pizza restaurant and have our fill. We head off home and get into bed for a much needed sleep.
