We got woken up at 0800 by some workmen doing some drilling/sawing on the roof. We got up slowly and had breakfast in the hostel. Then we sat up on the roof terrace in the sun to keep warm. I chugged away at catching up on the diary (has taken absolutely HOURS) and Josh has been investigating a trip to the rainbow mountains. Josh sorted us a tuna pasta lunch and we spoke with Matty on Ellie on a whatsapp video call. By about 17:00 I had had enough screentime so we walked into town to the chocolate museum café, and treated ourselves to a lovely hot chocolate. We were presented with a teapot of hot milk, big bowls of delicious melted artisanal chocolate, and a bowl each of mini marshmallows. We made and indulged in our hot chocolates, sat on stools overlooking a little square, soaking in the last of the daylight and a bit of atmosphere. We walked home via the supermarket, made ourselves a peanut butter and banana roll for dinner and got into bed. Whilst we were watching some Greys Anatomy I sneezed and one of the homemade slats in the bed fell out of the frame so the whole bed collapsed into a heap on the floor. We got the giggles but managed to piece it back together (kind of!)

About us

We are Josh and Jen and we created this site so we could have somewhere to combine Jens writing and Josh's photos of our year traveling together. It is a little keepsake for us, and also a way for friends and family to keep up to date with where we are and what we are up to.
