I woke up early excited for a surf. We had alarms set for 0700 as suggested by Pilar, as sometimes there are good early morning waves. Unfortunately, we had a whatsapp waiting for us to say there was no surf this morning, so we rolled over and went back to sleep. We got up a couple of hours later for a granola and fruit breakfast and then got ready for the morning yoga class. The class was held in a little sheltered pergola at Laguna, and four other locals attended. The stretch felt really good after the surfing a couple of days ago, and the hour or so class cost less than £4 each! After yoga we got a coffee and sat in the sun by the pool, where I finally finished my book. One less thing to carry, plus I am excited to start on the kindle that mum has lent me now! We walked along the beach into town and had a lovely bit of fresh tuna for lunch. It was cooked so rare it was pink in the middle, and was absolutely delicious! It is funny because all the restaurants and cafes here double up as the owners homes, so if you use the bathroom you often see toothbrushes or laundry hanging up. A couple of days ago Josh went to use the bathroom in a restaurant and someone was using the shower!

After lunch we went to a café over the road for a coffee and then walked home along the beach to double check if any waves had arrived, but sadly not! We got back to Laguna and went in the pool for a dip. Josh did more camera/laptop fiddling and I went to the beach with my magazine. We regrouped on the beach to watch the sunset, it literally never gets old and hasn’t disappointed once! It seems to be at its coldest at sunset, I guess where the temperature changes so quickly, so I need a jumper then but not later at dinner, which is a bit strange. We went back and showered (btw no such thing as a hot shower here, apparently just having running water should be appreciated!) before walking to Virginias house where she had prepared us lasagne and garlic bread. Our waiter was her youngest son, until his friend came over and they went off to play in the street. It is so nice to have home cooked food, and also it is so nice to have the weather to sit outside for dinner. We are going to miss this weather when we head South! Josh and I both love it here in Mancora and feel like we could stay here for a long time. However, we have decided we will make a move in a few days, on Tuesday, although haven’t worked out where to yet! We got back home and Josh and I used the sterilising bag mum packed me on our drinking bottles as mine has been redundant since I was ill. What a good idea mum, wish we had packed more!

Sterilising time.
