27/01/2020 – Sao Paulo, Brasil

We woke up and Peter went to the local bakery and picked up some fresh rolls. We had breakfast, using our own Marmite so as not to use Peters beloved supply up! I collected our washing that Consuelo had kindly sorted out. Josh and Peter went to Peters office to take a look at a light fitting above his desk. Joshs electrician skills do come in handy! Luckily, he solved the problem so that’s earned our keep a little bit I suppose! Peter has a picture of Woodbridge and of San Telmo market in his office that I recognised. We packed our things, showered to make the most of the nice bathroom facilities, and got an Uber to our hostel ‘Brasil Boutique’ in an area called Vila Madelana. We checked in, set our stuff down and went to the local supermarket to buy some lunch food. We cooked some pasta and watched an episode of Breaking Bad. We heard James and Dom as they got out their Uber, so ran down to see them, it is so surreal that they are here! We saw them into their room and then we wandered the local area and found a bar where we each had a Caiprinha. We went back to the hostel and had a few more cocktails in the bar before wandering down to the 24 hour bakery which has a buffet where you pay for your dinner based on its weight. We shared some Portugese custard tarts for pudding, which were absolutely incredible. We went back to the hostel and chilled in our room for the evening.
