We woke up at around 08:30, when the cabin had warmed up in the sun and we needed to open the window and door and turn the fan on. We relaxed in bed with our mosquito net around us. Josh made us coffee and we spoke to James and Dominique who are coming out to meet us in Brasil in a few weeks. We booked some more accommodation for when they are here and spoke a bit more about our plans. That conversation got me going with the planning, and set me off on one. I spent the following few hours planning and sorting accommodation for Josh and I, and we are now almost completely booked up until we go back home, which feels crazy! It does feel nice to get the planning bit done because it means I can stop thinking about it and just enjoy the ride! It also means we know we are getting cheaper deals as things are starting to get booked up for the summer break. We had leftover pizza from last night for lunch whilst we spoke to mum and dad on a video call, they come out in a few days which is very exciting! We did all this sat outside our cabin in the sun in our swimming stuff. We decided to go down to the beach in the afternoon once the midday heat had passed. I was just stepping out of the cabin when I jumped out my skin, there was a huge reptile head about a foot away from me. Once I had recovered from the shock, I realised it was a huge iguana, or something of the like! It had some of its tail missing so must have been caught by an animal at some stage. It seemed quite curious of me, and not as shy as I would have expected. There is a physalis tree outside our cabin, and it was almost expecting us to peel the fruit for it! We peeled the fruit and threw it on the floor for it. It moved so fast and had a really long forked tongue, it was so cool! I think it must have had bad eyesight and sometimes when it ran towards me looking for the yellow fruit it felt like it was going to attack, but I think it was pretty friendly really! We saw another one a little bit later going underneath the next door cabin, it must be their home too! After getting over that funny little episode, we got ourselves suncreamed up, hats on and wandered down to the beach. Another hot sunny day, another busy sombrero filled beach. The beach has a really nice holiday feel, and we have been welcoming the lively atmosphere. I lay in the sun for a bit, and Josh went for a little stroll in his rashvest, shorts, sun hat, glasses, and we did laugh to ourselves a bit as we looked at the nearly naked bronzed Brazilian beauties surrounding us on the beach, we are so pale in comparison! We went swimming in the sea. It is super shallow for a long way out so there are really fun waves to play in. After swimming we dried off during the hot walk back to our cabin. We had a shower and made ourselves a gnocchi dinner in the outdoor kitchen. We relaxed inside the mosquito net in the evening.
