We got up and had a lovely scrambled egg breakfast that Consuelo made us. We briefly joined the WiFi to book some accommodation for tonight and then packed our things. We had some photos together and then squeezed Consuelo, the maid, and both dogs goodbye. We were pretty reluctant to leave after having been spoilt and comfortable at the farm for the last couple of days. Peter drove us to the bus station and we said goodbye to him. We boarded the bus to Ubatuba and all fell asleep. We got off at Ubatube and got a taxi to another bus station for our onwards journey. It was muggy, grey and pouring with rain. With a couple of hours to kill we bought some snacks from the shop across from the bus station and chatted away, batting off the drunks and crazies who were intrigued by the four of us gringos. Eventually and thankfully we got on a coach to Paraty. After just over an hour we pulled up at the bus station, and got a taxi (driver had a tracheostomy!) to our hostel. Still pouring with hot wet tropical rain. We settled our stuff down, said hello to the lovely kitten and puppy and then walked to the mini market to buy some ingredients for dinner. We went to the hostel and Josh cooked a pasta dish and the others had a few beers (a bit anti-socially I don’t like beer so am on the waters most of the time, unless caiprinhas are around!) We saw a rat in the kitchen, which made us all scream and then giggle for the rest of the night. We chatted with a few random people - guests, volunteers and so on whilst we ate and relaxed, cuddling the docile kitten. When we got kicked out of the kitchen by the volunteers we went up to our bunk dorm and continued chatting and giggling until we were asleep.
