Josh and I both woke up at 0100 with awful stomach cramps. I had D+V again, which continued throughout the night. Our room is opposite Fredericos, and all the noise woke him up, which I felt awful about, but it’s hard to be quiet when you are dashing to and from the toilet and your main focus is to not poo yourself! He was quite worried about us and asked if we needed anything and we apologised for waking him up. Eventually morning came, and Josh felt well enough to get up. I tried to join him but as soon as I stood up had to make another dash to the toilet, so instead downed some immodium, sorted myself a dioralyte and got back in to bed. Frederico made Josh some oatmeal for breakfast that he said his mother used to make him when he was sick. He also made me some boiled rice water to drink which he used to have when he had an upset stomach, which was really very sweet of him, but I couldn’t quite stomach it! Josh worked on some electrical bits for the morning. By midday I forced myself up and showered, kept down some marmite on toast, and offered myself to some light work. I managed to iron a pile of towels and then got back into bed and fell asleep for the rest of the afternoon. Josh slept for most of the afternoon too. We both felt pretty rough with stomach and headaches. I walked with Josh whilst he fed the animals but couldn’t do much else other than prop myself up. We made a plain pasta dinner, showered and went to bed for the night.
