We woke up at around 09:30 and spoke to mum and dad on a video call for a while. It is their first Christmas without having kids for years so it must be a bit strange for them too! We caught up with them and also Joshs parents and family. Then we made ourselves a brunch of scrambled eggs and avocado with some orange juice. We spent a lot of the day catching up with people on video calls. It is strange because it doesn’t really feel like Christmas to us, it just feels like another day being abroad, still a nice day but not like Christmas if that makes sense. We went for a stroll through the local area and found quite a busy café (full of other tourists) and got a coffee. We came back home and made ourselves festive pizza and chips for dinner – and ate all the leftovers from the cupboards as we are leaving tomorrow! We spoke to more people on video calls and I did some sale shopping with some money Joshs parents had given me (new underwear!). We started clearing up and packing, and are ready to move on to a new place tomorrow!

About us

We are Josh and Jen and we created this site so we could have somewhere to combine Jens writing and Josh's photos of our year traveling together. It is a little keepsake for us, and also a way for friends and family to keep up to date with where we are and what we are up to.
