Josh worked on some electrical stuff – installing some big hipster lightbulbs into the dorms. He has been given a list of jobs to get cracking with, although I think things are done slightly differently in Chile so he is having to be quite careful about what he does and how he does it! I got up and made us some scrambled eggs. I chilled until Josh finished work at around 14:30 and we made ourselves a pasta bake. I quite like the South American way of having a bigger lunch and more of a snack dinner! Josh and I walked into town and Josh found a red Ralph Lauren t-shirt in one of the second hand shops. We went to Madd Goat – the fancy coffee shop and bought some nice coffee to have in the hostel using the percolator, a treat but also cheaper than going out for coffee! We came back and chilled for a bit before Josh opened the bar up and I was on cover shift (helping reception). It was pretty quiet as there were quite a few people doing the volcano excursion tomorrow, who were all in bed getting an early night. It ended up just a handful of us sitting around the dining table drinking wine, chatting and listening to music, before we closed up and got to bed at around midnight.

Josh did his last electrical shift in the hostel, and I had my last bar shift today! We wandered through town for the last time together...

About us

We are Josh and Jen and we created this site so we could have somewhere to combine Jens writing and Josh's photos of our year traveling together. It is a little keepsake for us, and also a way for friends and family to keep up to date with where we are and what we are up to.
