We had breakfast and cracked on with our bits and bobs. Todays work involved sensors and lights, shuffling a ladder around the outside of the house, Velcro and lino, and quick cement and under the sink. Couldn’t really tell you in very much more detail but I know Josh would be able to! I went to the shops whilst Josh finished up some of the work. We had offered to cook for Liliana this evening as she has spent a lot of time preparing food and cooking for us this week. We had a scrambled egg lunch (we have been missing those the last few days!) and then started preparing our dinner. We used the classic Jamie Oliver sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry recipe that we have made a few times at home. It is vegan so is something we found when I had to cook for Fuz in Brighton. We thought we should carry on the theme as it seems Liliana enjoys vegan food a lot too. Josh and I cooked the curry and prepared everything so that we would just need twenty minutes to finish it and sort the rice when Liliana wanted to eat. She had a sewing lesson this afternoon. She has a lady that is a clothing designer come round to her house once a week to teach her how to sew, and she is currently working on a dress that she will wear for New Years Eve!
Josh and I went for a dip in the pool to cool off, showered and relaxed for a bit whilst Liliana had her sewing lesson. We finished off and heated up the curry, which was a bit different to normal as there is no such thing as rogan josh paste here and coconut milk costs over a £5 so we had to improvise a little. Still, it worked! We ate and washed up, and then Liliana gave us a homemade pistachio ice pop for dessert. We went up to bed and fell asleep watching The Crown as usual!
