We got up and had breakfast at around 0800 again. Josh and I were both given bright green Uber Eats tee shirts by some friends in the hostel in Pucon, and now they have become our DIY uniform. We have become a little chuckle brother comedy DIY duo in our bright green uniforms! The work mainly consists of Josh being able to fix stuff, and I am getting good at passing things and footing the ladder (when I’m not scrolling through my phone choosing what to listen to on Spotify – a very important job you know, I think it helps with morale.) Footing the ladder is a surprisingly necessary job, as it has no clips and so could splay out completely open (and does a little bit every time Josh goes up the ladder.) Well at least it gives me something to do, because I wouldn’t have a clue how to most of the jobs we are doing! After work we ate some left over rice and mushroom burger and had a coffee. Josh chilled upstairs and I went for a dip. It had been well heated throughout the sunny day so was a lovely temperature! I went back in and showered and then Josh and I went for a walk around the neighbourhood. We stayed within the gated peripheries and wandered around. It looks like a housing complex where every house should look exactly the same, but actually each house is completely different. They are all very large and most have big gardens and pools from what we can see. We even saw a few Christmas decorations dotted around which was nice! Liliana had bought some beautifully made dulce de leche alfajores which were much nicer than the shop bought wrapped ones Josh and I had tried before. Liliana cooked in the afternoon for a dinner she was going to with friends. She made us some dinner too which was kind! We had corn and beetroot terrine, which she had made from scratch! Neither Josh or I were really familiar with it so when she handed us the tupperwares with them in we had to ask if they were savoury or sweet and what to do with them which she found funny! They were super tasty though! We had them with rice and salad, and there was a different queso dulce for dessert. This time we had the creamy cheese with a slice of quince jelly candy on the top. It was very nice (I even had a second helping!) but we both prefer the sweet potato candy from yesterday!
Because Liliana was out for dinner with her friends, Josh and I had offered to walk Umma for her. We walked her around the local area and then she came and cuddled us in bed for a while as we wound down for bed.
