09/12/2019 – Mendoza, Argentina

We both had slightly not normal tummys again this morning, which was frustrating as we had been planning on spending the day cycling around the winerys of Mendoza! We decided it wasn’t the best idea, but still managed a glass of wine with lunch (which was delicious!) We had planned on going to a classic Argentinian food and wine pairing restaurant for their more budget friendly set lunch meal, but after passing the next door restaurant offering a set lunch for less than half the price we just couldn’t justify it! We had a lovely lunch in the next door restaurant (and our wallet thanked us for it too) before walking down to a little park in the city, where we had a lie down in some shade. It was siesta time and town was empty and the park was filling with people ready to flop. We left when Josh needed an ice cream. We popped into the local Carrefour supermarket for some bits for dinner and made our way home by the early evening, just when people were starting to wake back up again and the shops were opening up. We chilled for a little while before having a late cereal and bread/honey dinner whilst watching The Crown on the ipad. We crashed out pretty early.
