We got up and had the hostel breakfast before packing our things up, showering and saying bye to the dungeon. We hopped in a taxi to the Berlinstur bus terminal and bought our tickets (44,000COP = £11 each) then waited for our minibus to arrive. It was a grey and overcast day but sweltering hot, I could see the individual bubbles of sweat coming out of my pores! 20 minutes later and our bus arrived, a Mercedes minibus with WiFi and air con, it was a pretty comfortable ride! We tagged our bags in the back then hopped into our seats together. We had one toilet break pitstop along the 6 hour or so ride, otherwise, slept and read, and spoke to mum and to Trudie because the WiFi was probably better than our hostel connection had been! At another passenger drop off, Josh managed to buy some churros from a street vendor for the final leg of the journey. We jumped off when we assumed it was our stop (used google maps, looked like we were either in or near Santa Marta) then into a taxi for the 15 minute drive to a little fishing village called Taganga, our home for the next 4 nights. We got shown to our hostel and to our room (very simple double bed with little en-suite and a.c.) dropped our bags and connected to the WiFi to look up tripadvisor for somewhere to eat. We went for an early dinner at a restaurant called Babaganoush, which was nearby and had a brilliant view of the pink sunset over the bay. We ate some beautiful fresh fish dishes, would definitely recommend! Then we did a little lap along the seafront. It was fairly lively, it feels like a place that Cololmbians go for a holiday. Then we got back to our room, showered and hopped into bed.
