08/12/2019 – Mendoza, Argentina

We had a lovely sleep, it is so peaceful here! It is Finns birthday so we called and spoke to Finn, Kate and Mum. We had a pretty slow morning with coffee and cereal before getting up and out of the air bnb. We headed straight for Brod, the café we had been to a few weeks ago when we were here last. We had a lovely big brunch, coffee and orange juice sat outside in the courtyard under a big umbrella for some shade. After filling our boots with food, we wandered around the city for a little while. We popped into the supermarket to buy some food for dinner. We also did a very adult thing and went to the pharmacy to buy ourselves more suncream! It is a Sunday, so everything is pretty quiet and shut down. We went back to the air bnb in the afternoon for a couple of hours to get out of the intense heat. In the early evening we walked to the San Martin Parque, a huge 971 acre park in the city. There were lots of families having picnics and kids playing. Josh and I went for a big walk around the lake before heading back home. We cooked ourselves gnocchi with tomatoes for dinner, which we ate in the garden before bed.
