08/01/2020 – Buenos Aires, Argentina

We got up and made ourselves breakfast in our tiny Air bnb studio. We finished packing our things and went to the nail and beauty salon across the road which was so cheap! We ordered an Uber to our hotel to check in two hours early, it is the Wyndham Dazzler hotel that mum and dad booked us into a day early so that they could have a shower on arrival tomorrow morning. We knew it would be luxurious by our standards so decided to spend as much time in it as possible today! Fortunately our room was ready, so we grabbed ourselves a complimentary coffee from the foyer and enjoyed using the wheelie luggage rack to get our rucksacks into the room with. The room is absolutely huge, a double room with a connected lounge, air conditioning, and a beautiful bathroom. The sheets, the towels, and even the toilet roll were appreciated by us! We plugged in as many of our tech items as possible to begin the big charge. I got the laptop out and used the wifi to get the diary up to date. In the early afternoon we managed to drag ourselves out of the hotel to a local launderette to drop some clothes off, and to a supermarket to buy a few bits to make a sandwich with in the hotel. We got back to the room as quickly as we could, and ate our lunch, using the penknife and spork to put a cheese sandwich together. Josh used the afternoon to start getting photos edited and uploaded to the diary. He has got a bit behind on the photo uploads so has a bit of work ahead, but made a decent bit of progress this afternoon! In the early evening we went up to the rooftop pool and had a dip in the cold water! We warmed up on the sunloungers, with a view across the city. We went back to the room and relaxed a bit before having my first bath in 10 months! It felt so relaxing and I felt the most clean I had been in a long time! We got a middle eastern Uber Eats delivery for dinner which we ate in the room before relaxing on the humongous double bed with Netflix. A very relaxing day, ahead of mum and dad arriving tomorrow!
