We had a nice lazy lie in, after a pretty good nights sleep. Bar a short interlude at 02:30 when the dogs were barking like crazy for a reason unbeknown to me! I put my earplugs in and drifted back off again easily. Josh and I spent the morning chilling, Josh editing some pictures and I on the WiFi. We had some cereal and made ourselves a coffee. When we cabin fever had got the better of us we left the house, at around 14:00 and wandered to the tourist information. She directed us in the direction of the bus station so we could buy our tickets for tomorrows journey. We did so, enjoying the stroll around the small town. It super windy today and dust is going absolutely everywhere! We bought our tickets and then wandered through many of the artisanal markets, thumbing through all the beautiful textiles and souvenirs. All the souvenirs have pretty much been the same through all the countries of South America. We held off until Bolivia – where we had been told things are the cheapest! There are still a few things Josh and I would like to buy, but this is definitely not the town to do so – it is quite touristy and pricey! We were well behaved and decided we would hold tight until we go somewhere a little bit cheaper. We found an electrical/phone case/dodgy shop and bought a couple of plug adaptors – the plugs here are different to the rest of South America, and we lost our worldwide adaptor back in Ecuador sadly. We wandered through the dusty streets, enjoying the laid back atmosphere that felt very safe, and window shopping in the variety of high end and tatty shops alongside one another. It isn’t a big place so I think we had seen quite a lot of it by about 16:30 when we stopped in a hipster place called Roots for some food. It was so hip, it felt like we could have been in Brighton! We had some very good food and a fresh juice each. Then we walked back to our air bnb to get our jackets, the wind had picked up and the sun had started to go down so it was a bit chilly. We grabbed our coats and then walked to the lovely café around the corner where we got a croissant and a coffee each. When we had finished we walked to the local supermarket for some groceries for dinner, then went home and chilled in our room.
