Josh fed the animals with Chris, and I sorted out our breakfast. It is our last day of work here, mixed feelings! I carried on with the ironing and Josh, Chris and Frederico got to work on the gate in the horses paddock. It was a scorcher of a day and they were our in the blazing heat trying to sort it out until about 13:30! I made up a couple of guest rooms and showed Cherie how to do it. She is not feeling well so watched me make the room and then went back to bed. I made us all a rice and bean lunch and the five of us sat on the terrace whilst we ate. We cleared up and then got our swimming stuff on and got in the pool, where we stayed for the next couple of hours. We fed the animals as usual at 16:30 – we are going to miss the animals too, it has been so enjoyable to look after them! Then Josh and Chris carried on with the gate for a little while. Chris made us a pasta dinner, which we ate and then washed up afterwards. In the evening we went to speak to the llamas and watch the sun set, there were gorgeous low pastel colours over the Andes mountains, a very beautiful view. I used my binoculars to watch the mummy and daddy owl feed the three fluffy baby ground owls. They are so beautiful to watch, with big exaggerated yellow eyebrows! I love owning binoculars! Josh found a praying mantis in the grass which made him happy! We showered and got into bed, and were asleep before 23:00, as usual!
