Josh got up and sorted out the animals, and I got our breakfast ready. We did our morning volunteering, Josh on pool duty as usual followed by some sanding. I made up a guest room, swept the terraces, cleaned the kitchen and swept the salon, thankful there is wifi again so at least I have podcasts to get me through! The cat came running up to me with a huge rat in its mouth, which was pretty gross! Josh and I made a polenta, lentil and vegetable lunch which we ate with Frederico on the terrace, then we cleaned up and chilled in our room for a bit. At 15:30 Josh and I went with Frederico to the local big winery bodega called Bianchi, where Josh and I had visited last week. The three of us shared a platter of cured meat, cheese and olives and some wine, which was so cheap and tasty! I think it cost us each few pounds! We came back and chilled for the rest of the evening. We went and watched the sunset with the llamas and watched the beautiful ground owls with my binoculars before sorting ourselves out for bed.

About us

We are Josh and Jen and we created this site so we could have somewhere to combine Jens writing and Josh's photos of our year traveling together. It is a little keepsake for us, and also a way for friends and family to keep up to date with where we are and what we are up to.
