Had a nice lay in, and then some scrambled eggs and coffee. Went for a jog with Josh around Pucon, it was a beautiful summers day here, clear blue skies. We ran along the lake and then up to a Christ the redeemer statue in the cemetery, with a viewpoint across the town and the lake. It is really very beautiful here! We came back and sat on the grass by the lake for a bit. A gorgeous sandy stray dog came and sat on our laps and gave us cuddles, he had such a nice temperament! We showered and tidied our room before heading out to the local empanada shop. We always go for the turkey, cheese and cranberry sauce – absolutely delicious! It is bank holiday this weekend so town was absolutely crammed and the hostel is at full capacity – it holds about 60 guests I think. We walked back home and I opened the bar up. Lucas (a German volunteer) is cooking a curry with an Indian guest tonight for a load of us to share so I am looking forward to that!

Josh did his last electrical shift in the hostel, and I had my last bar shift today! We wandered through town for the last time together...

About us

We are Josh and Jen and we created this site so we could have somewhere to combine Jens writing and Josh's photos of our year traveling together. It is a little keepsake for us, and also a way for friends and family to keep up to date with where we are and what we are up to.
