We got up and had some breakfast before setting ourselves up in the open plan living space with laptop and ipad in hand, ready to do some adventure planning. It has been so good having both the ipad and laptop here – they have both been used daily. After a fair few hours of research we have a (sort of) plan for the next couple of weeks, a couple of flights booked and some accommodation ready, and we extended our stay here until Sunday. We microwaved leftover pizza from last night for lunch. When cabin fever set in we left and went back to the Botero museum as Josh wanted to take some pictures with his camera which he didn’t have with him last time we went. I sat and started reading my book (I am Malala) outside near the fountains whilst Josh retraced our steps for some photos of both the space and Boteros work.
Moody photos of the building.
Paintings by Botero and Picaso.
Sculptures in the Botero exhibition.
Then we walked down to the coffee shop ‘Arte y pasion’ that we had been to a few days earlier (again, Josh was up for taking some photos!) and tried some different coffees. Mine was brewed using a Turkish method and mixed with cardamom, and Josh had his made using a syphon technique. Delicious! We walked back to the hostel and had some more leftover pizza whilst reading our books.

A bit later John made everyone in the hostel a traditional Colombian hot drink called Chocolate Santafereno – cacao blocks are melted and mixed with sugar and hot water and it is served with a white cheese in the bottom, it was so creamy and the cheese went all gooey, it was lovely! Then Josh and I made ourselves fajitas for dinner. As we were cooking a new person arrived to the hostel, he is called Edgar and arrived from France this evening. Josh tried to teach me how to juggle, I think I can just about manage with 2 balls but not 3 yet! After clearing up we tucked ourselves in our room for the evening.
