I got up and had some toast in the morning, and then went back to bed and listened to some podcasts and dozed a bit more. I was in the lounge when Albert, a retired German guy checked out. He had come out with us until 05:30 the night before, had been escorted home by one of our volunteers. He had actually ended up extending his and his friends stay a few extra nights so he could come and party with us. He looked a bit worse for wear this morning, and told us he lost his hearing aids in the club! I found this so so funny! He also said he fell out of his top bunk in the night, so he was lucky he hadn’t really hurt himself. His wife told us he went splat and then didn’t move so she had been really worried about him! Luckily he wasn’t the designated driver this morning. Josh was fast asleep with a full face of zombie facepaint still on, which was quite funny! We got up late. It was grey and raining and it felt like the whole hostel was hungover and staying in bed for the day! Josh and I went for a stroll around town in the afternoon and stopped off at el Camino – a recommended burger spot. A bit of hangover food! We had chicken burgers and chips then came home and collapsed into bed with crisps, biscuits and Netflix.
